מנהלת יחידת SIT4

Shiri is director of the SIT Social Innovation Unit. This unit works closely with non-profit organizations such as government and local municipalities, academia, ngo’s and civil society organizations and helps them to increase the benefit they deliver for social causes, while retaining a business-like profitable approach.

Shiri has considerable experience in strategic planning and consulting, research and content building and an in-depth knowledge of the social and public spheres in Israel and has a true aspiration for social change and innovation.

She has worked as project manager and evaluation researcher at the “Jerusalem Institute for policy papers” think tank and as a strategic planner for the municipality of Holon and consulted the ministry of economy and industry. She has also been a resource developer at Educating for Excellence, and a Content manager at “Facing Tomorrow: The Israeli Presidential Conference” (An International conference under the auspices of the late President Shimon Peres) and at “Leading a Change: The Educational Challenge” (Yedioth Aharonoth and Ynet Education Conference).

Besides her work, Shiri is also an active member at the Midburn community, Israel branch of Burning Man, taking a leading role in the “Generator” – the community social entrepreneurship platform.

She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and a specialization in Social Policy Studies from the Department of Political Science and The Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

Shiri likes to think of herself as an explorer of places, cultures and people, preferably at places one can also dive or trek without any internet connection.
